Kristen and Nick are engaged.. and how not to feel happy with the beautiful energy these two create together! Kristen got interviewed by me, and let me warn you: you may come to tears :)
Just a quick special note about this session: On that day of their engagement session, Kristen confessed to me that she was not sure if she would be on her best moment to take pictures, because she had cried so much the night before and had "puffy eyes" that day. But she decided we should still go ahead and do it, because at this point she could not ease her pain by staying close to her dad that day. And we moved on, and I am glad we did! She looks just beautiful!!
Just for you to understand a little bit about what happened, A few days before we have had our e-session day picked Kristen’s dad Mr. David Plakas got into a medical emergency and it definitely brought sadness to the family and high bills that only who has passed on a similar situation would understand. Please take some time to learn more about Mr. Plakas history and hopefully if you could help the family with any amount (they will really appreciate it). Link: Go Fund Me: Help my dad walk and talk strong!
This session was inspired by the beautiful love story of Kristen and Nick and also by Mr. Plakas and his wonderful family! We are cheering up for you Mr.s Plakas! Please feel better soon!

Our first stop was at Baker Park in Frederick, MD! We got a beautiful hybrid day starting with lots of sun light! Read below their interview.
Daysy: Where did you guys go for your 1st date?
Kristen: Ahhh, really? That was almost 9 years ago! But, I would have to see it was at night and some friends and I were hanging out at his dad’s house.
Daysy: How did you meet?
Kristen: We actually knew we both existed in High School. I was a freshman and he was a senior. We officially met at my first job, Meadow’s Farms Nursery. He was a co worker.
Daysy: How did your puppy dog, Charlee become part of the family?
Kristen: One of Nick coworkers had gotten a yellow labs and he was so beautiful I wanted one too so I ended up finding Charlee from the same breeder five and a half hours away in West Virginia they told me she was 8 weeks old and when I got her home she was only 5 weeks old she's been nothing but a blessing to this family and has only improved our health. We brought her home the day before 4th of July.
Next step, we followed to one of the most beautiful places I have ever shoot at! Please be delighted by Sugarloaf Mountain's beauties - including Kristen and Nick :)
Daysy: How did he propose? Can you describe that moment?
Kristen: I could describe to the T! We were at mymom’s newly purchased beach house. We had gotten in the worst argument the night before ( the ride down to the beach . ) The next day my mom and I were doing some shopping and my mom was saying maybe I should pop the question. That night, I got the worst Migraine. I took a shower, and while my mom was cooking dinner, I was drying my hair. Nick followed my mom into the garage, told her his plan, and showed her the ring. My mom started to tear up. “Don’t cry when you go inside or else Kristen will think something is going on..” (to be continued below)
Kristen: Dinner was made and I was famished. Little did I know, Nick and my mom barely ate… wasn’t I the one that didn’t feel good? Mom started talking about getting a porch light (we ate outside) and wanted to place a tall lamp outside (little did I know she just needed light to take pictures.) I thought she was crazy but she wanted to take a picture to show her husband of what this lamp looked like outside… weird. But whatever. (This was simply just to tell Nick that the camera was on and she was ready for the show.) - (to be continued below)
Kristen: Nick stands up. Tells me he loves me.
“Yeah, I love you too. “
“But, I really love you.
“ Yeah, and I really love you..” (how much did Nick drink? why is he being so lovey dovey?!)
“ But will you love me forever?”
Boom. Rings comes out. I look at my mom like “ is this real?” she nodes her head and all I could think about was the argument the night before and the conversation my mom and I had earlier in the day. Way too weird. No one knew until Nick told my mom in the garage that night! It was all captured on camera, blurry because my mom was so excited. I called my dad immediately and tried to tell him what happened whilst sobbing because I was so happy.
At some point we got to this location at the top of the mountain. As we got there, the rain was about to start. It just gave us a few minutes to shoot before it poured down. Thanks rain, you were crucial! I guess I will stop to write from here.. because the images bellow are just breathtaking!!! (Daysy)
Daysy: How do you imagine yourselves as a couple from now to 10 years?
Kristen: I hope we are the same people, but with stronger careers and living in warmer weather… and kids, one day.
