I have been around enough to see and understand how challenging it can be for brides to search for their dream wedding gown. It can be a long road for them to finally say YES to the dress.
This post it is about Wedding Dress online ordering taking into consideration expectation and reality when having to decide by having an affordable but yet excellent quality. This experience was measured by me as photographer view and my client and bride, Erika Andrade, who modeled a random pick of one of the Simply Bridal wedding dresses available at their website at the moment. I will jump into an statement and say: it was worth it and recommended!
Heather Bell, from Simply Bridal reached out for Daysy Photography looking into a collaboration where I could select any of their amazing dresses available from their website and use it in a session or an actual wedding. Well, let me be clear here, I have NEVER ordered a wedding dress online and really didn't know what to expect, neither didn't know our model, Erika.
I have done a quick interview with Heather asking her questions that I have heard mostly from other brides. And here is what she has to tell us:
Daysy: Heather, how many years have Simply Bridal been offering Wedding dresses for?
Heather: Simply Bridal began in 2011
D: For a bride that is on the marketing shopping for a wedding dress, what should she look for as far as quality goes? Please share a few tips with our dearest brides.
H: Pay special attention to
-Material of the gown
-Details of the gown
D: What are the top feature details that define Simply Bridal wedding dresses as a keeper?
H: High quality yet affordable wedding dresses
D: How far in advance should a bride start looking for a wedding dress and actually order it?
H: A bride normally begins looking for her dress right after she gets engaged. It would be best for the bride to order her gown from SimplyBridal no less than 3 months before her wedding.
D: Once a order is placed, how many days should a bride expect to have her dress delivered and ready to use?
H: If a bride places a dress based on her custom measurements it takes 45 - 60 days. If she orders an in stock gown, she will receive it in 5 - 7 business days.
D: A question that every bride wants to know: what the dress doesn't fit?
H: If a bride orders a custom measurement gown, it will be made specifically to fit her. However taking the dress to a seamstresses is always an option for some brides doing some last minute alterations.
D: And a question that I would love to know: Why did you pick Daysy Photography to capture your dress "in action"? :)
H: We wanted to work with Daysy Photography because we had seen some of her work on Truly Engaging Wedding Blog and was impressed by her style.

My personal conclusion about the experience? Starting by their customer service, it was very friendly and their website is very easy to navigate as well.
Once we picked a dress, the ordering process was also very smooth, and it reached us in less than a week. And what everyone really asks to me about that experience: how is the actual quality of their products? Well, let me tell you that: it is amazing! The description on their website matches the actual product (that was my first concern, to be honest, because we see so many histories of clients who ordered a dress and what gets delivered to them it is a mismatching product, with funny shapes and even different colors!). Simply Bridal exceed my expectations on that mater! The fabric quality is very nice and my bride Erika, that has passed for the experience of choosing a dress for herself already, also pointed these items out.
That being said, I am happy to suggest this excellent company for brides on the search for affordable dresses without loosing the quality, their product has earned their space on my referral vendors list because they have passed the test under the view of me as a photographer and as my client as an actual bride.
Special thanks for Simply Bridal, for the amazing opportunity of letting us using your product for an awesome photo shoot.
Thanks for AOR Design for collaborating with her amazing art of personalized favors for the molds.
And last but not least, to Erika Andrade who was such a talented model and her Fiance, Kevin for his assistance. Thanks for gently being part of this project, and I am glad we actually used this opportunity to practice for their wedding day.
