Madison Quinceañera Party ~ Holiday Inn, Frederick, MD

Madison, this young smart lady had her family and friends together to celebrate her turning 15 years old. Her Quinceañera was held at the Frederick Holiday Inn & Conference Center with lots of fun and filled with great decoration details. Tiffany Blue and black was the party color theme and it truly brought Madison’s personality to shine!
As I always love to hear direct from the source and learn about their experience and the tips they may share with other people to enrich their blog post. Madison got interviewed and I love all she has to say. Her tips are just very nice too, if you are planning a Quinceañera or any other event of this level. Hear her out :)

Madison, I wish you have a bright future filled with great achievements and happiness! You are a sweet person and brightens up everyone around you! Happy 15, Madison!!!

Daysy: What did you have in mind when you picked your Quinceañera gown?
Madison: I was looking for a non-traditional Quinceañera gown that would make me stand out. I was looking for a gown that resemble the sea: aqua green with some pearls & shiny gems bodice and a flowing train.

Daysy: How many gowns have you tried before you decided that was the one?
Madison: I think I only tried out five dresses before I found the one I picked. My mom made me try out one traditional Quinceañera gown that was turquoise like the blue sea, but it was too much ruffles and too bright. Not my taste at all.

Daysy: How did you feel by being walked by your grandfather as your father awaited for you on the time you had to exchange your shoes?
Madison: Nervous, excited and very proud of being walked by my Grandfather. My Grandfather has always been extremely influential in my life and I expect him to be involved in every aspect of my life including my wedding day. As for my Dad, he is the best and I felt so lucky to have a father like him. He is funny and always tries to make me laugh whenever I am in a bad mood.

Daysy: Did you practiced in advance walking on heels for the event? How did it go?
Madison: I practiced walking up and down the stairs in my house. It was very hard the first few times but then I got it. I also practiced dancing with my heels and that was a bit easier since my Dad and I were only dancing to a slow song for the “Daughter/Father” dance.

Daysy: How did you picked the color theme for your party?
Madison: I like the idea of the beach and the tiffany blue reminded me of it. Also, I like black so I choose black lace for elegance and white as a background color.

Daysy: About the planning, how much time did it take to get things done from the first day to the last and who was mostly involved on the planning execution?
Madison: It took about a year and my Mom did all the execution of planning my Quincenera. She reserved the venue and selected all the food. She found the bakery who bake the cake, but I choose the cake style and found the black lace design for my cake. I selected the colors (tiffany blue, black & white) and my mother’s co-worker, Melissa Compton, came up with the theme design for the tables and venue decorations..

Daysy: Could you share the top 3 tips you would give to anyone planning a Quinceañera?
Madison: Tip#1: Give yourself at least one year to plan it and at least six months to execution your plans.
Tip#2: Do not go shopping for your dress during Prom season. Give yourself lots of time and make sure you do alterations as soon as possible.
Tip#3: Send out “Save the Date” cards and mail invitations with at least two month prior to event.
GREAT TIPS! ~Daysy
